Position:   Wastewater Treatment Plant Electrical Technician

Note: Applicants must submit to the following:

  • Alcohol and Controlled Substance Screening

  • Post offer physical

  • Driver’s License check

  • Reference check

 

Duties: A Wastewater Treatment Plant Electrician is responsible for performing skilled journey-level work in the construction, maintenance and repair of electrical and electronic equipment at the Authorities two wastewater treatment facilities and its 40 sewer pump stations.

 

Requirements: The position requires the employee to be dependable, self-motivated and reliable.  A valid New Jersey driver’s license is required.

The employee must be able to follow both written and verbal instructions and perform as part of the operations team. The employee will be required to work overtime and to provide adequate coverage during emergencies. The employee will be required to work from 7AM until 4PM with weekends off.

 

Training: While prior experience is required; further continued on-the-job training, supervisor instructions, review of manuals and guidelines will be either instituted or recommended.

 

Pay and Benefits: Pay and benefits will be in accordance with the Construction and General Laborers’ Union, Local 172 contract. Starting pay will commensurate with experience.

Bills are sent out quarterly.




What are the payment options?


The MHMUA accepts cash, checks,money order and certified funds at the office. We offer the A.C.H. program, the free, quick and easy way to pay your bill. You can also pay online with your checking account, debit card, or credit card. Look for the icon on our home page "PAY ONLINE". You can now sign up for EBills, which provides you with a paperless invoice sent to the email of your choice.




Does the MHMUA offer a Senior Citizen discount?


Yes, if you qualify for the Senior Citizen property tax deduction through your tax assessor's office, you can recieve a $13.00 per quater discount on your Mt.Holly Municipal Utilitiy bills.




How can I change the name on my account?


THe MHMUA requires written documentation; such as a deed, death, divorce and or marriage certificate.




How do I change my mailing address?


The MHMUA requires a written request to change the "bill to" address on an account. Send an email with your information ( Name, account number or address and phone number) to info@mhmua.com
